Started my stocking today

went fish shopping.
$126.98 later I walked out with

54G
6 Yo-Yo Loaches
1 Gold Gouramis
1 Blue Gouramis

125G
1 Firemouth
3 Pim Pictus
2 6" clown loaches.
1 Royal Pleco.


Tomorrow first thing in the morning I need to pick up a few more fish before the window of oppurtunity from the fishless cycle passes and the bacteria dies off.

Also spend the day doing water changes and decorating with my newfound rock.

I'll post pictures later I've got the lights off on the tank to calm some skittish fishes.

Michele wants an oscar in the 125 and maybe a dempsey we'll see.

I'm debating on a school of tetras in the 54 though I think that might distrupt the theme I've got going.

the 54 is sorta asian.
Mainly Loach and gouramis.
Marbled sand bottom with large river rock and some flat slate.

River bottom is what I'm shooting for.

I guess Neons wouldn't hurt but I'd like to do something more interesting.

Maybe Black Neons......I'd do rummy noses but I've got them in my 37G and I don't want to duplicate.

Here are some snapshots.
I appologize for the backing on the 54 Corner bow I got it wet and it's sticking to the glass right now.
Also the water still hasn't completely cleared.

The pics from the 125 I don't know what happened to. the white balance of my camera has a hard time dealing with the 6700K coralife lights and they come up greenish. I'll have to play with the settings to see if one of them can fix it up.

Next the 125.
you can see 3 pictus cats and the royal pleco.

The tanks aren't where I want them yet but considering in one day I had to do 80% water changes from the end of the fishless cycle. Also clean and boil ALL the rock and then place it in the tank I think they came out ok. Once the water clears and I settle on final arrangements I think it'll start looking better.

I am so jealous! I would love to have a 125. I ahve no idea what I would do with it...there are too many possibilities.
