Spwaning Neons!?

Hi,

my neons have appeared to start spawning I think, they females are being followed very closely by 3~4 males each through the java fern and are doing little circles in close formation. I can't seem to see any eggs or clouds of sperm in the vicinity though, and I thought they spawned in the evening not at lights on?
Are they spawning? They are very young but there is a clear difference between the males and females who certainly appear to be gravid, oh and after a few runs through the undergrowth the females are a lot slimmer!

You might be seeing displays/spawning behaviour but as to whether or not they will actually spawn... well, it doesn't happen very often. And any eggs will probably get eaten.

Neons do spawn at lights on; very often you can use early morning sunlight hitting the tank as a spawning trigger.

The eggs will get eaten in a community tank, plus the eggs and fry are light sensitive; you'd need to set up a separate tank if you wanted to breed them.
