As every year, witch hazel begins to bloom in early February. However, due to the cold weather this year, it took a few days longer to fully bloom.

At least my Christmas cactus shares this opinion...

I have about a square metre of grass near the house, under some trees, and I can vaguely feel the sun now. Our revised forecast as of this morning is 25cm of snow and 90 kmph winds coming early in the week, so that sounds like a Spring snowstorm.

Brrr..
Westher forecast here says 11 to 14 degree Celsius (57 F) for next week. We'll see ...

I'd rather be in Bavaria.

Here in the lands of the Wolostoq nation, we're at -21 with the wind, and the wind is non stop. It gets up to zero by day, most days, and drops as soon as the sun goes down. It's still Spring though, according to the migratory birds that are returning and singing. The snowstorms will melt, the rivers will crack and we'll have your current temperatures in April.
