im not going to blab on this time promise :D

do you think its best to put a spray bar across the back of the tank so it sprays to the front, or should i put it on one side of the tank ??

what do you think is best ?

With a linear (rectangular) tank you will get the best circulation if the spraybar is along an end wall, so the water flow will be down the tank; if this is a canister you can position the filter intake at the opposite end length-wise.  Another advantage is that this creates a current such as in a stream, which will suit fish nicely.  They will tend to face into the current.

Remembering from another thread that you have a taller tank, I would suggest one of the end walls rather than the back.  And I would also direct the holes toward the glass so the flow dissipates down the glass and across the bottom.  Aside from a better circulation, the fish you are considering do not like much water movement, so this will suit them better as well.

Byron.
