Spray Bar Or Air Nozzle........

as title says i have tryed both now while i have the nozzle on the flow seems too powerful and seems like it will push fish around ......? or is it just a case of either depends what works for me ........

model of filter: SERA fil 120

also ive been reading that plastic plants are not good

if this is the case i wil go buy some slk ones as soon as i can

bump and another question if i was to replace the planting for silk ones do i have to do anythink to prepare them ...

or is ir a case of just taking old ones out replacing with new ........

you shouldn't have to do a right lot to prepare them, just maybe give them a quick rinse.
in my opinion silk plants aren't any better than plastics, they do the same job, maybe the silk plants look slightly more realistic to the more 'picky' person, but i wouldn't change them just because someone has said silk plants are better. they will neither affect the tankor water so just choose what you prefer, not anyone else!
don't know much about that particular filter, but the flow depends on what kind of fish your keeping, some quite like fast flowing water and some like it almost still, most of your average community fish i.e. barbs, tetras, rasboras etc, will like happily in either slow flowing or water with a current, your choice really, if you have fish like bettas etc they can't cope fith fast flowing water so maybe a spray bar would be the option to take.

thankyou for your reply dave this helps it just seems theres more chioce with the silk ones and i was told the plastic ones could cut the fish as they could have sharp edges (i never have had this problem)

at the moment i dont have anyfish just coming to the end of my fishless cycle

regarding the fish i wont be going for bettas more of the tetra apisto and some bottom feeders maybe not alot i dont think but thanks for the heads up

if your having a lot of bottom feeders then good circulation is needed as if you have spots on the substrate that the current doesn't reach you will get a build up of bad bacteria, and this may affect fish on the bottom!
never haad or heard of that problem with plastic plants.
