the firemouth has its breeding tube showing from vent. was only slightly earlier but is becoming more pronounced now. i rekon i could have a hybrid spawning situation on my hands soon

What are you going to do Mark? keep the fry if successful, or feed the fry to your Sev's ?

not sure . will wait and see if they actually spawn 1st. if they do i will probably seperate a few off to raise just to see what they look like and let nature take its course with the rest. wouldnt want to get lumbered with a load of hybrid fish i couldnt get rid of

Here is a video of 2 different cichlids that have paired up. These fish might even be same sex. Yes a gay interracial couple haha.
