Spiny Eel!

i wasnt sure where to post a thread about a spiny eel so i just chose this one it seemed fitting.

anyway recently i went away to hawaii, i was gone for 8 days and i just got back a few days ago, the day i got back i had work and ive been working almost everyday since or with my girlfriend, havnt had much time to do anything else. yesterday however i was working and on my way back from a delivery(im a delivery boy, very prestigious i know! ) i decided to stop at the LPS to see if they got anything knew in. went around the tanks a few times and on the second trip around i spot this little guy poking his head out between a rock.

i looked at the stickers on the tanks and saw it was a spiny eel. ive always been interested in maybe getting a fresh water eel but never knew where to find them and they now have one! i fell in love with him and im almost positive i need to have him. only thing is i dont know really anything about them. i tried researching it but cant really find and good information out there on spiny eels.

my main concerns are if they are aggressive or not and if they will eat my other fish. i currently have a 55g with 8 bloodfin tetras and 5 corys. i have had them in there for about 2 months now and i really want to add more and i would really like to add this eel but how will he do with them and any other fish i try to put in there as well.

Does it say what spiny eel it is? If its a smaller one like a Peacock Eel, then it would fit in a 55 gallon but it will eat the tetras and the cories, i'm afraid. Most spiney eels will. If its anything larger, like a Fire Eel or Tire Track Eel, they will need bigger tanks. Is it possible for a picture?

#40##, he was so good looking i really want him what would be fish that are suitable to be kept with a spiny eel and and btw no it did not say what kind of spiny eel he was but he had like these two little spike things coming of his face
