spanw log-ish

i had a huge die off i must have syphone dout at least 100 babies, it was crazy.
it doesnt bother me at all tho, because i still have at least 100 fry still alive and doing well. its crazy theres huge clumps of thme, i havent even bothered trying to count yet.

He was truly gorgeous but what a success with the fry. That's amazing.
I'm going to start breeding bettas in the next couple of months hopefully and love hearing success stories!!
Congrats!

I am sorry to hear daddy took a leap. Congratulations on the fry, I am sure they will be beautiful, like their daddy. Keep us updated.

What an adventure, sorry again about your male.

My dt's are dying off ,too. I did a small syphoning/wc a couple of hours ago. Sucked out a good dozen dead bodies (out of very few fry) and immediately after I finished I turned around and found three more dead :X I'll say I have 10 left, at last count. But, the marble spawn who had their daddy for days hasn't had any die offs and over a hundred fry. Wait...whose spawn log is this anyway? -_- :p Sorry, just thought it was interesting: the factor of deaths without fathers versus those with...

thats ok kelly. you know i would just ask anyway.
thanks all, and i am actually glad i had a die off because i did a counting from the surface(they are all on the surface in clumps) and i counted at least 226 fry alive and swimming. i just hope they are eating. and not to sound cruel but i wouldnt mind another die off soon cause there is no way i will be able to care for over 200 fry. :S :S :S :S :S :S

dems the breaks slamster, you have to always be prepared for anything with breeding. how do you think we felt with 600 fry that one time?, yah we were able to give half the spawn to a buddy but really we were just delaying the culling as they did a piss poor job of raising the fry and the majority died. some breeders choose only the top 5 - 10% and feed the rest to their bigger fish or some (like kelly) will try to adopt them out. really, we never had a problem getting rid of our stock, even females we were able to liquidate in mass to LFS as long as we didn't charge too much for them.

yea, i kno what you mean bkk and i know how to get rid of thme when they grow up, culling, adopting, selling etc. but im just worried about how im going to raise so many. i dont have all that much space for it. :S
