Are these fish compatible in a 50 gallon tank? They all require the same water perameters. Soft - Neutral water with a low PH. If not compatible which should be switcehd or taken out?

2 Belly Crawler Pike cichlid
3 Kuhli Loaches
5 Emerald Corydoras
6 Rainbow Eartheater
2 Sajica cichlids
1 Red tail shark
2 African butterfly fish

How large do the earth eaters get? If they get 8 or more inches, I don't think 6 would be adequate. Of course, I have never kept them, nor do I know what the minimum tank size for them is. Other than that, I think it sounds fine. I am not big on information with larger cichlids. I am more the dwarf kind of guy.

These eartheaters only get beween 4 and 6" and are mouthbrooding south american cichlids. I think I finally have my tank right. Anyone who wants to argue this please post so I can make my tank better and more compatible. Do you think the Pike cichlids would be okay along with the Sajica's and African butterfly fish?

Not sure about the agression of any of these fish. But I would look into the agression on these fish. If they are agressive, you might end up with dead fish.

They are all peaceful to mildly aggressive.

2 Belly Crawler Pike cichlid 6” Mildly Aggressive middle feeder
3 Kuhli Loaches 3” Peaceful bottom feeder
5 Emerald Corydoras 3” Peaceful bottom feeder
6 Rainbow Eartheaters 4-5” Peaceful - mildly aggressive middle feeder
2 Sajica cichlids 5” Mildly aggressive middle - top feeder
1 Albino Rainbow shark 6” Mildly aggressive all range tank feeder
2 African butterfly fish 4-5" Mildly aggressive top feeder

Based on aggression and size do you think they will be okay in a 50 Gallon?

I would say you are going to be way overcrowded. Too many medium sized cichlids for your tank. The pikes can easily take over the tank. They will probably eat the loaches. Also if the sajicas pair up they also can take over the tank. They are from Central America. Usually CA cichlids like neutral to basic ph levels. The eartheathers are bottom dwellers. Also 6 are way to many for a 50 Gallon tank with the other cichlids. My advice is to pick the cichlid species you want and just keep that in there. The cories could also be a problem with the pikes. They are fish eaters and may attempt to eat anything smaller than them. Once some of the cichlids pair up, all hell will break loose if all those fish are in there. The cichlids will establish territories on the bottom. Most cichlids use the floor of the tank. Not the mid and upper parts of the tanks. If you want all of those fish I would be looking at a 125 Gallon 6ft tank minimum.

Agree with the above poster a 50G is way too small for all of those fish, even in a 100G there would be big issues with territories IMO

By Rainbow Eartheater do you mean Geophagus brasiliensis or Gymnogeophagus australis or Gymnogeophagus rhabdotus?
Cause the Geophagus will get to near 10" and the Gymnogeophagus will get to 6"

Also i'm sorry but keeping corys and kuhli loach in a tank with pikes is much like letting your cat play with your hamster, Its only going to end one way.

The ABF also need to be kept in a much bigger group if you ever want to see them, In small numbers they will simply hide 24/7

Sure the 50 gal looks big now but its not.
The Belly Crawler Pike cichlid get 9"
Rainbow Eartheater aka Gymnogeophagus rhabdotus 6" each.
Sajica cichlids 5-6"

So no way will that set up work. Too many many large territorial fish in one small tank. You could keep 3 cichlid around 6" in that tank max. only 2 if you want other fish.

So rethink the fish you want and do some more research on them.

Here is what you could do.
1 kuhil
6 Smaller corys like the peppered or schwartz
1 Sajica cichlids
1 small Earth eater.
7 tetras whatever kind that are not too small.

I would do:
1 pair of keyholes
1 trio of apistogramma
1 bristlenose
Shoal of some type of tetra, or maybe some rainbow fish.
