Okay, so I've been doing regular water changes make sure ammonia is at zero. Cleaned the powerhead, and yet again another fatality today.
My male platy has done exactly what my female did on monday, seemed to fit, shoot up to the surface and fall to the bottom gasping. I thought my other platy died from gorging itself on my tetras, but it seems to be something else.
The fish don't show any symptoms until a few hours before they die, their is no visible signs, they eat, swim, don't really do anything out of the ordinary. So I went out and bought some Liquisil, as that is the only stuff my local pet shop sells (it doesn't thrive in fish advice, more horsey!!) I can't loose anymore fish so I have used tonight. I have already tried aquarium salt and lost this one.
Any ideas what is causing these deaths??
ps Whilst staring at my tank tonight I have noticed one of my neons has a fat tummy, looks like it's eaten some balls, all bobbly inside?? Could this be the cause?? Pregnant?? I have no idea it just doesn't look as streamline as the others.
