My wife shoo's them out of the house with a piece of paper, then they just run around the house and find sanctuary in my fishroom where I "accidently" step on them (when she's not around)...

An accidental electrical shock from my "homemade" wiring concoction (like I had - again - last night), generates less reaction from me than when one of these inadvertently runs over my foot or hand.

Around here, they're known as "flatties"....(you must see them after I stepped on them)

yep those are huntsman spiders . completely harmless and rather cool. good for the house will keep pests down. i love spiders ( used to keep tarantulas before i got into fish)

all spiders have 8 legs these guys have probably lost limbs which will be re-grown next time they moult

Apparantly placing a few bowls of conkers ( horse chestnuts) in a room will keep spiders away because they don't like the smell. I know a few people who've tried it and it does seem to work.
