ok so i have a 300 litre 4 ft (jewel rio 300) tank that currently has alot of african mbuna cichlids in it, im planning on rehoming or just plain selling them off (obviously not guna mix the lakes) and i realy would like some frontosas in the, i was thinking the burundi but im aware they get pretty big... is 300 litres enough? if so how many could i get?

another question im dieing to get answered is is there any suitable mouthbrooder from lake tanganyika that will fit in that tank that will be easy enough to breed in order to host my s.multipunctatus fry :D :D

i have 7 multipunctatus by the way, if that helps 3 male 4 female

Hi mate, I keep Tangs with blue dolphins. It is possible to mix the lakes within reason as long as you pick the least aggressive ones. I would say that your tank is a touch on the small side for fronts to be honest as they do get a good size. There are plenty of mouthbrooders from Tanganyika that are easy to breed, my favourite are cyprichromis leptosoma. They should be ok in your tank as long as you don't get the "jumbo" variety. Not sure what you mean by "hosting" your fry though!
