nice tanks cheesy feet, looking good. My tap is ph 8-8.2 also so i went down r/o route and they now lay eggs in my 55gal loads but the bristlenose eats them, but am now going with my water and setting up a malawi tank as well. The white and orange parrot is awsome
Regards Angel

Thanks , you two.I got him about 2 1/2 -3 years ago now (along with the orange king kong one), I don't think his colour really has a name.So you can call it calico if you want lol

i've never noticed the parrot till now. is it newly added? looks awesome!
He's one of the longest inhabitants after both my big plecs got stuck burying themselves under the filter....Then CAE's eating their eyes out.Damn I hate those fish!

Sorry to change the subject, but I have a question for you discus keepers. Why are the discus skittish about large tanks? Surely, if you had a large tank, you should fill it with more discus, making it snug anyway? Just wondering.

Thats not always possible because

A. Discus are expensive
B. You can't just add any old discus, you need quality

Also they prefer smaller tanks simply because it is cozier IMO.

I understand that discus are expensive (my boyfriend keeps them) and that you need quality, but, like I said, with more discus in a larger tank than a 55gl, then wouldn't it have the same effect?

Bigger the tank = bigger the shaols, more mopani roots/bogwood and plants for cover, maybe dimmed lights. Then they should be fine :good:

Woah! Nice Fish! Uhh, may I just ask, why is one of your Blood Parrots look like a goldfish? It's orange and white! hehe.. First time I ever saw one of those..

Love your tanks :good:

i saw some discus at the petstore going for 70 bucks. Beside the fact i have no experence in them thats a tad off my budget. Cause id mistakenly end up killing them
