Finally got around to posting some pictures of my planted tank. Its taken a while to overcome some recent algae problems but things seem to be going OK at present. Apart from some plumbing work to move the CO2 reactor to a less visible location I am fairly happy with the layout.

Would appreciate any comments and suggestions for improvement.

Specs below.

looks really good
love the angels, i think you should get some more platies

Looks good, some nice growth there.

I think I'd move the crypt from the right, to the mid-ground, just left of center. And then move some of the Anubias over to where the crypt was, have them in a curved line spreading from foreground to midground.

very nice tank. very cool angel.
i would think that a huge peice of driftwood right in the middle would look good.
then also bring some of the vallis to more of the middle back.there hard to see
as how you have it set up now.

Hiya Joe2,

What lighting and wattage are you using in your tank?

Looks good by the way!!

Thanks for all your helpful comments.

Thanks Pseud,
You mean something like this?
If so it works for me. Gives the arrangement a bit more symmetry too.

Simonbrown403,
There is a small school of 10 black neons in there but the only time I see them shoaling is at feeding time. They spend most of their time on their own hiding in amongst the foliage. I think the angels keep them on their toes (or fins perhaps).

Paul,

I have a total of 160 watts of lighting or 2.4wpg. Tube types are listed in my orginal posting.

Any other suggestions are welcome. What about the java moss foreground? I was thinking of extending it further to the left a bit removing some of the rocks in this area or maybe just let the moss grow more thickly over the rocks. What do you think?
