Nice photo, although his fins don't look in very good shape!

If it's just a case of him being nipped, you just need to keep the water conditions perfect and they will eventually grow back however if it's fin rot then you might want to get hold of some Melafix. Aquarium salt may also help.

Hopefully he's just been nipped though! What other fish do you have stocked and have you recently bought him?

No salt with cories.   They are scaleless fish, and scaleless fish are notoriously sensitive to salt.

I think its because he is all by his lonesome and I have learned on here that they need to be in schools of 6. I am going to get him some buddies next week. He has been in the tank for over a year. I have a dwarf gourami, some von rio tetras a small pleco and neon tetras. Thanks for the compliments. I am still learning how to take pics of my fish. The little buggers are fast!

Great, just keep the water conditions good then and you should see them grow back in time.

If you've just got the one, adding some more will be great, you'll see him a lot happier and a lot more active :)

What substrate do you have? His barbells look alright so I'm guessing sand - which is great for them!
