So today i went to town with my mum and i bought some new fish for my tank. I got 4 otocinclus and, for now, 2 threadfin rainbowfish. The oto's are about 1" and the rainbows are half that size! I'm planning on getting 3-4 more rainbows and 2 more oto's. Is this ok? I've read up on threadfins for ages because i really like them. I've read that they only get about 1 1/2"? They are all in with guppies that i control the breeding of. If they drop i just leave the babies in the main tank and there isn't much cover. For example i saw my young females drop about 15-20 babies, only 1 has survived and is living happily with the rest.
Will these fish get on with each other? In the shop the threadfins were with the oto's and in the same tank as loads of male guppies. I think i got the threadfins for a good deal because they only cost £3 each. The oto's were £2.40 each. I only had £20 which is why i couldn't get more than 2 threadfins. I also got some grassy plants for the bottom of he tank.
