Soft Water

all common livebearers do better in harder water, but all can also adapt to softer waters too, all livebearers can live happily in softer waters too, so you really dont have a specific one that would do the best but if there had to be one i would think that the best would be the platy :good:
 
People with soft water seem to do fine with guppies. Do not try a molly in that soft water, it probably would not survive long. Some of my wild type swordtails also seem to thrive in a tank that I intentionally maintain with only half the minerals of my tap water. In this case it is nezzie swords, something a casual hobbyist will never see. They are simply not sold in pet shops.
