Well, after upgrading my 180ltr community tank to a 360ltr Hubby said "No more!!"

I did however manage to get him to agree to me setting up a small tank for some RCS, but then I just had to set up another small nano tank for the baby shrimps as I now have so many of them. B-)

Despite the words "No More!!" Hubby then said it was ok to get another 2 of the Arcadia tanks, one for another kind of shrimp and the other could be used for a quarantine tank. As long as all the tanks look the same he`s fine about it, especially seeing as he quite likes watching the shrimps :D

I went to my local MA after getting the 2 tanks so I could get some plants and decided to get some Crystal Red Shrimps, not sure if they`ll breed as much as the RCS have done but they`re certainly lovely colours B-)

Living room full of tanks...Arrgghhhhhhh!!

Lol, my OH is slowly warming to having the fish around too. I've even got permission for a 3fter in the lounge. And he also (briefly) asked for one if his own for his office. The idea passed and he now doesn't want one anymore... but we're getting there

tis like an advert for Arcadia in you front room!

lol Yeah I guess it is, maybe I should start charging them commission

Curiosity........is there no way you can gently 'remind' your OH about having a tank?

I usually manage to 'get round' Hubby by finding a great/cute pic on the forum/net then I just show him and say "Oh how nice does that look?? I wonder......" ;)

Baby steps. It's got to be his idea... or at least he has to think it's his idea. Lol.

Although whatever you're doing seems to be working

It was seeing a severe out break of whitespot at our local pets at home combined with the fact he has had alot of work on (so spent alot of time away from me), he was feeling guilty about it.
First he said he'd BUY me a tank if I wanted one, and then said he'd really like a little one for his desk if I'd look after it for him. Hehe.

Plant the seed and let it grow huh? ;)

I think Hubby is as soft as he is because he`s away Mon-Fri and he knows I love my fish/shrimps and it gives me something to do while he`s away. Keeps me out of trouble too

Lisa - I really like the layout of the matching tanks. Looks great!

I like the front room set up, with the candles around the tank, very pretty!

Looks good, I like that all the tanks are the same. Nice big tele too. What sort of black sand is that you're using?

Thanks :D

The tanks had to be matching as Hubby didn`t want a mish-mash of different tanks all over the place, it does look better that way to be honest (the candles help keep the living room looking pretty instead of being just a 'fish room') :look:
I`m pondering whether to keep one of the 35Ltrs as a quarantine tank which will come out temporarily and only have 1 35ltr and 1 20ltr on show, it does get a bit much to have 4 tanks in such a small living room

The TV is Hubbys toy, I have the fish tanks, he gets his big TV B-) . I have no idea what the name of the sand is to be honest, there was no actual name to it. I got it yesterday from Southern Aquatics, £14.99 for 10kg, it`s a very soft, powdery kind of sand and it`s a right bu**er to clean!! But it was the right colour for the shrimp tanks so I`m happy with it :D

One word ........ SPOILED

I have "permission" to go ahead with a slightly larger upgrade..... idealy would love to squeeze in a 3rd tank, your tanks look cool, like the arcadia arcs, very nice and shrimp are fun to watch :good:

SPOILED??? I don`t know what you mean!!!! :hyper:

I do like things to be similiar, a bit retentivve when it comes to thinks like that haha. So I agree that having them alike works better in the home, they all look great (I want one! haha  (Funny enough because my mum keeps saying things along the lines of 'if we had another tank' or 'we could put a 3rd tank there' and it's actually me saying no!
