So I Went To Florida

Hi everyone. I don't post in this section much, but I thought you might want to see some pictures of my vacation last week in Florida. It's mostly just scenery but whatever.
We flew down from Baltimore to Ft. Lauderdale, and stayed there for two nights.

Here's our awesome view from the hotel.

And some funky clouds.

On our day in Ft. Lauderdale, we went to the everglades! We took an awesome airboat tour that was about an hour long.
Here's some pics of the wildlife.

Vultures

I don't know what kind of bird this is, but we see them when we go down to North Carolina as well and we call them 'dinosaur birds'. But this one is missing it's tail.

And just the everglades in general.

I'd never been there before so I took a lot of pics.

About halfway through the tour, we had a visitor:

He swam right up next to the boat. I could literally reach out and pet it.
The tour guide said it was almost 10ft long!

So after Ft. Lauderdale we were supposed to go on a cruise to the bahamas, but we got there early so we had a few hours to go to the beach.

It was cloudy on the way there

But it cleared up

Just in time for...

I didn't really go in the water, but it was sooo warm. Especially compared to the Outer Banks, NC. Which is what I'm used to.

Just thought I'd add, it's an alligator, not a crocodile.

So, next we went on a cruise for 3 days.

Leaving Ft. Lauderdale

The 'olympic sized swimming pool' they advertised

And some of the seagulls that hitched a ride

Nice pictures! I think the brown bird is a female crow. They're everywhere around here.

I always like to see the pictures from people who visit here... sooo many cliche FL images. They're great, though!

Lol. I can't imagine anybody vacationing to where I live and actually taking pictures, unless they're fascinated by mushrooms or something.

Gators aren't as mean as crocs, but if they decide they don't like you you're every bit as dead. I would advise against petting them.
