I moved off to college in August, and had to leave all my fish back home. I had plans to set up the biggest tank possible in my dorm, a whopping 10 gallons, but due to space limitations and lack of a good area to do maintenance I held off. I've made it this far but don't think I can live without any aquatic life in my room. I looked at some options such as ecospheres (yes I know they aren't the best things in the world space/ environment wise) but they are costly. So I thought why not make my own shrimp tank. I've had several in large tanks before and loved them, so why not?
As of now I have nothing at college at all. So I get a fresh start for this set-up I'm thinking 2.5 or 5 gallons so I can just buy gallon jugs of water and avoid any messing in such a small room. Other than that I have no ideas where to start and was just wondering if anyone had any input or pictures for inspiration.
Thanks!
