Thinking about getting some, just curious to everyone's snail preference, and i wanted to do a poll cause ive never done one before , left it at those 2 because their the only kind of snails i've seen other then the pests
I have goldish colored snails (no Idea what type though, they just turned up in my tank one day and now I have 100 of them) and I must say I like having them in the tank. although even with lots of them I can't say I see any difference in the amount of algae in my tanks, I think the fish like knocking them off the walls and watching them swirl around in the currants for hours .
I think I've also heard people say they like Malaysian trumpet snails, because they mostly hide in the gravel and help circulate the gravel so no anaerobic bacteria develop (good for sand).
I bought some plants few days ago, and I realized today that it came with some snails... I'm not sure if I should feel good or bad, but since I was planning to get some clown loaches anyways, may be it is ok...
