hi found this in my tank today anyone what type it is or harmful to my fish thanks

It’s a pink / red ramshorn snail.

Pretty common and pretty harmless as well.

You will however have more if you let them thrive.

Yep, they're harmless, maybe even beneficial, depending on your setup. If you get too many you can either back off on your feeding (snail populations usually only explode in the presence of excess food), pick them out, or get a few assassin snails or botia loaches.

I have a couple ramshorn snails that showed up as hitchhikers in plants I bought. I left them in the tank and they seem to do a good job cleaning.
