i had same problem, and aqua tom (hello mate) advised me to get assassin so i got 3 of them and they did the job eaten my snails and eggs i still see one or 2 now and then but they will get eaten yummy.

How quickly did they work? Ive got 30+ little tiny snails at the moment!

i would mate there awsome. and they look good in the tank. they sell them on ebay quite cheap

Ebay seems quite expensive to be fair. I have had a very generous offer from a fellow forum member though.

On the topic of assasin snails, I don't have any snails but I am getting more plants and would to ensure I don't get any snails in the future. If I got assasins as a preventive measure will they die from lack of food or will they eat fish food/plants?

Good question to ask! I would like to know the answer as well. You can rinse the plants in tap water to rid any eggs that may be on, which is something I didnt do because I never had a problem in the past. I got all these plants from the same shop ive been getting the ones for my goldfish from for the last year and never had an issue, but ive only ever bought 1 or 2 at a time, not 15!
