I was getting tired of seeing so many ramshorn snails in my 50 gallon.  So I spent half an hour picking them out and putting them in a bowl.  Well over 60!  On large black one is an inch, for sure.  Reds, browns and leopards.

I 'thought' my mystery snails have also been reproducing.  I have gold, ivory and black, and I may have a blue one, not sure.  Point is, I was just reading online about the colors for ramshorns and  ... seems THEY can come in a blue, as well.  So now the little blue ones I left in the tank (along with the gold and ivory) well, I'm not sure what they are, lol.

So now I have a bowl sitting on the kitchen counter, with all these ramshorn snails.  I didn't think this through, no clue what to do with them now.

I have the same issue, I'm thinking about putting mine in a separate tank with some shrimp and my mystery snail. I don't have the heart to kill the little guys.

I already have 3 tanks going, lol.  50 gallon, 37 gallon, and 21 gallon.  I have mystery snails in all 3, and nerites.  Darn ramshorn hitchhiked in on a plant and I didn't know to remove it.

Maybe see if someone in the area needs any for their puffer? :3

I have to say, I just took all the sand and plants out of my 17G, and it's infested with ramshorns. When I put the plants into a bucket, I noticed all the snails dropped off.
If you're able to get assasin snails or even some loaches if they're suitable...that might be good.

I was told not to use assasin snails, because I also have mystery snails in that tank, which had babies.  Those are quite tiny just now.

As I had to go to bed, I ended up putting them all back in the tank.  Sigh.

You could have left them in the bowl or a bucket, for future reference. :)

I've seen them for sale on eBay in the UK. Is there any state law that forbids selling snails and sending thro the mail?
Mine arrived in a little test-tube with about 10ml water in it and amazingly all of them survived our postal system and the drop from the letterbox to the floor!
