Since I've aded some plant I have noticed more and more snails appearing. Can anyone offer a suggestion for removal please?

I find the snails are helpful in keeping the tank clean, as long as you keep them under crontrol then i would leave them

Just take the ones out that you see, clean the glass off if you see any eggs and don't overfeed the tank and that should help keep them under control.
I didn't think I'd say it before, but I actually don't mind the snails in one of our tanks. They help eat the algae and *shrugs* They're just interesting to watch.
Watched one of them last night gliding along the surface.. under the water.. was pretty neat.

Yea, I agree, especially if you have one or two that are big they can be fine to watch.

Still, if you get too many, I've always thought the advice to leave a half cucumber (or big lettuce leaf) overnight and then take it out with a bunch of the snails feeding on it was a pretty cool method. I think its better not to get too obsessed with getting rid of all of them, but just to think that getting rid of what you can during regular maintenance will keep them under control.

I think people mainly just don't want to get too many of them *shrugs*
Not quite sure on the plant eating part though. I've read some people say that they will eat plants, but the pond snails I have don't seem to. I've seen them on the plants before, but they don't seem to be doing any harm to them.

Yeah, I was worried when I first saw pond snails in my planted tank, but they aren't damaging the plants at all, even though the biggest mama snails are an inch long now. They're fun to watch and kind of pretty too.
