Dear all,
We now have:
- 3 glowlight danios [getting more asap, as soon as LFS has them]
- 3 otos
- 2 honey gourami
- 2 guppies
Yesterday, I found a *huge* clump of eggs under a leaf. It looked a bit like a bubble nest. Alas no. Snails. What is odd is that - but for a few shredded leaves - we haven't seen them *at all*. I'm also unsettled by the sheer size of the clump. The volume of them, combined with the ravaging of the leaves, makes me think that there are *lots* in the tank, under the substrate.
I was thinking about zebra loach (AqAdviser says we have space for a smal school). I'd prefer them to the assassin snail... Any thoughts?
p.s. the otos are astonishing. We deliberately let a bit of algae grow before introducing them. After one night, they had entirely cleaned one of the plants... Both me and my beloved looked at the tank separately after the first night. We both, without talking to each other, came to the conclusion that one had doubled in size overnight!
