Hi y'all,

Have a query regarding snails that I have in my 90L tank thats currently undergoing Fishless Cycle.

I do have quite a few common pond snails in tank, have left them as they are eating a bit of my algae thats almost going out of control!

I have noticed on the front glass that there is a series of very smail bubblelike substance thats only appeared there today.

Would be good if anyone can recognise what it is. Could it be snail eggs?

Thanks in advance and apologies for quality of photo.

Ah, thanks, well that confirms my suspicion then.

So, so whats the best thing to do?

If I leave them, then could have unsightly snail population but would help my algae problem thats starting to grow, then when tank cycled could get some assassin snails to control common snail population.

Or would it be best to remove the eggs somehow today before they hatch to loads of teeny wee snails?

Thanks

IMO i would leave it, and when all your algae is gone and if there isn't a lot of food left for them to eat they'll die. and if you get to the point of it being out of control then drop a piece of lettuce at night and in the morning remove (snails will gather on it) and repeat until they are gone.

Great tips, exactly the kind of answers I like.
