Snail Eggs

Hi guys, new to the forum so not sure if this is the right section or not. Anyway about a couple of months ago i purchased 4 of these snails (cant remember what they are called)

Anyway pretty much as soon as i got them they seem to be laying eggs on my bogwood. Here are some pictures as everyone loves pictures

You can see another of the snails in the above pic!

Anyway these eggs dont appear to be hatching as it seems that some of the eggs have been there for quite a while, why is this? Just curious as to why really

All I can say is that they are Zebra Nerite snails and that the eggs need brackish water to survive, apparentely they are very hard to breed so I wouldn't worry about them hatching.

Cheers for the info there Im a bit dissapointed they wont be hatching, they are such good algae eaters, ohwell have lots of the more common snails (malaysian trumpets?)that have somehow found their way into the tank to watch breed lol
