Smell

my aquarium is up and running for about 5 months, i change 50% of the water once in a week and the tank looks clean but the thing is that the fishy smell in the aquarium is persistent

does the smell represents the cleanliness of my tank, any suggestions ???

a healthy tank will still have a slight smell. I discribe it as an earthy smell. If you have been somewhere hot on holiday - it smells like that hot place after the rain.

..shouldnt smell fishy tho. Maybe you are just smelling open fish foods on teh top of tHE Tank?
