small tank

a betta?
i know some people here think 1 gallon is too small but IMO it'S the minimum...

Does it have any kind of filter? I had a 1 gal with with a UGF ... which does not really work with a betta ... too much turbulence. But if you do frequent parital waterchanges you might not need the filter anyway.

Oh yeah ... they reason I dont really use the 1 gal anymore is that my house stays kinda cool and I did not want to use a heater on something that small.

so one more vote for the betta and ghost shrimp and a snail :p if you want the ADF too or something else think about maybe a 2 or 2.5

I have a 1 gallon with a UGF, and mine doesn't create too much turbulence (in fact, barely any at all....)
This is what mine looks like. I got it for $10 at Wal-mart :p
The trick is to find a really freakin' small air pump.
Edited for a link with a better picture.
