I've just purchased a Clearseal 12x8x8 glass tank for some Cory fry i have

Problem is, the tank doesnt come with a lid, which is fine as i didnt want the lid you get with the standard size Clearseal tanks.

Instead i wanted to make my own, something a little less bulky.

Has anyone got any tips/pointers? I wanted to avoid wood and ideally use acrylic or glass. Getting this cut to size is simple enough, its finding some extruded platic edging for it to sit on which is a pain.

The best option i've come up with so far is some simple corner edging trim from homebase stuck onto the inside of the tank on each side and then i needed some rubber/plastic trim to sit on either side of the lid...

Im guessing someone has done similar already so any help appreicated :)
