hey everyone, I'm not used to dealing with smaller grouped fish so I come to you for advice. I've got a 10gal in my dorm room now and I was wondering what you would reccomend.... Currently, a few corries, and a male crowntail, so a new fish related with fin nipping of any kind is ruled out. i'm looking for something different, something very active , maybe a group of 5. possibly tetras , but i've decided against guppys. any ideas?? also, the only thing close to me for a lfs is a walmart... :( so the would have to carry them in regular stock..... this limits me, so go nuts! give me some good ideas! Thanks again everyone!

If possible I would recomend atleast purchasing a 20G or 30G. These are still managible sizes and will fit in your dorm room. These will also give you more play in water quality. A 10G can be very hard to keep healthy and without notice your water stats can spike and if you do have teatras or other sensitive fish, then they will be gone over night.... Plus with getting a bigger tank, your options expand immensely. You could look at danios, hatchets or many types of tetras. And seeing how I am cichlid lover, if you get a 30, then you could get a beautiful pair of rams that would add lovely color to any community tank! :good:

I would LOVE to have a pair of rams! although, for some reason i am only allowed to have a 10 gallon. (School regulation) I do have may other tanks and i have experience with fish so i don't think that water quality and fishkeeping overall will be an issue. good points though! any other thoughts/ ideas??? anyone?

any other fish reccomended? I like danios but I got a bunch of them at home, I want something else for my dorm......
