Hello
The problem with my tank is that in march of this year i bought a redtail shark for my 55g tank, it was like 3cm long, but ive seen that they get to max size in a year, and 8 months later it is 6.5 centimeters long. Is this normal? Will it get a big stretch or does it have a not normal growth?

Your fish has doubled in size over the past 8 months.
It should live for at least 8 years...if it is in the correct environment.

Many things other than feeding can affect growth; pH, hardness, water temperature and basic chemical composition and stability, oxygenation and tank mates.

Check this out for more info.

So is it good that it doubled size or its still to small?
Thank you for the answer!

I guess there is no rush xD. I think he will live a year but maybe take more time to grow to its full size. Eitherway, Thank you for the responses!
