Skitish Fish.....

Hi Folks, one of my Blind Cave Fish keeps going nuts. Every now and again it swims like mad up and down the length of the tank, jumping out of the water and smashing into the sides/ends of the tank. it lasts for 4,5 or 6 seconds and then settles down and moves around as normal.

Any ideas?

Need more info on size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The symtoms you are describing are bad water quality, parasites.

83 ltres, 2 blind cave fish, 1 1 ruby shark and 1 upsidedown cat.
Haven't checked the stats lately will check tomorrow.

I would do a immediate water change and increase aeration.
First thing to look at is water stats,.
I would get your water tested fast.
A ruby shark needs a 40 gallon tanks as they are territoral.

Will do Wilder, and don't worry about the ruby. Had him a couple of years even when I had afew more fish in there and he's never touched anyone ever ! He's an albino !
