Hi All

new to this so this smay be the first of many questions!

I have got a relatively small 94l River Reef tank and also a V2 Skimmer 120 nano.

Now the problem is,if i instal it as per the skimmer instructions the air inlet will be under the water (obviously a bad thing) This is due to the clearances of the tank lid when closed(possibly sold something not suitable for the tank?).

I could run an air pipe form the outlet to above the surface, however, some of the cup will be in the water. Would this be ok? or would it be impractical for cleaning the collector cup?

Thanks,

Running the cup part submerged I belive will make you skime increadlibly wet all the time, assuming the air inlet can still draw air.... This will lead to very regular (possibly daily) emptying of the cup. I'd personally either cut the hud to alow it to move up a bit, or take it back for a different one that fits better. That said, I have never seen either tank or the skimmer in real life, so the place you bought it from may know something I don't. I'm simply dawing on my reather basic knowlage of marines (still setting mine up and thus am in the research phase ATM). I'd wait for an experienced member to come on here and confirm my opinion before doing anything though....

Just my 2p, it may turn out that I know nothing
