What is the best size grain for sand in your opinion?
what size do you recommend?
Thats all im wondering
i dont want to get a size grain of sand thats so small it clouds the water up dramatically

idk if you need to know the fish types i have to make a good opinion
but the fish are
x15 neon tetra
x4 mollies
x9 guppies
x2 German Blue Rams, male and female
x5 Dwarf Gourami
x2 Pleco, one common, and one rubber lip
x4 ghost shrimp
x2 mystery snails
and various fry
tank is a 60 gallon
any size recommendations are appreciated

As long as you wash it out thoroughly and completely, it shouldn't cloud up the water no matter what size it is.

I have to agree with the above comment, my play sand is extremely fine and i get no clouding, if you do get clouding then simply put, its user error.

I watch my fish suck in food and blow sand out of their gills, they seem to consider it a good substrate. however, as much as i praise it, it is a bit of a pain when it comes to planting and fish digging around uprooting things. its very easily done, a heavier sand would help stop this.
