Simple Stocking Check

Pretty simple one, aqadvisor seams to be pretty happy with it...

24x12x21 tank... approx 25 gallons. gravelly substrate, will have java fern planted (thanks to Claire!)

1 Female Betta
4 Albino Cory
4 African Dwarf Frog
variety of Shrimp (amano, cherry and possibly yellow)


Will have a 'level' made halfway up the tank with hiding place created below and plants at the mid level.

i'd up the female amount of Bettas, probs to 4.

hit and miss mixing male bettas with any other fish or shrimp etc. it may take to them or it may kill them if you are wanting corys then i would advise to change the gravel to sand as they can damage their barbels on gravel and will be fine and happier on sand as they shuffle through substrate to find food. it shouldnt take long on a small tank like the one you are suggesting
just amke sure you have a back up plan for the betta if it goes wrong with the corys and shrimp

another thing....when you go the frog route, MAKE SURE you get all african dwarf frogs...if an african clawed frog slips into the mix your fish and frogs will all end up being snacks!

looking at the stocking level, think we'll be better with 4 females...

Think the sand will ***** up the undergrav filter! Have to get some round gravel like my 4 footer, thanks for the heads up though.
