Simple Question

Thanks Ben, youve been very helpful, this goes back to my original point and to another Post i wrote last week. Due to bad advice from my LFS i am now stuck with what i got. I have now seperated the Betta and i am convinced that they are tiger loachs as they dont stop at all, constantly on the move and very fast. They attacked my Betta but he is recovering in his new home.

.. erm, no, it's becuase its running fine... You shouldn't have high levels of fish deaths, most kinds should live for far longer than 15 months

Was just kidding :*) ... sound like you have this fishkeeping business sorted.. ! ;)

Just wait till I get my nice new big tank cycled... then I'll have LOADS of problems...

Your actually looking forward to problems..?? hehe, what a mad world we live in. Ive avoided having children so far in life because i dont feel its a nice enough world to bring children into, so what do i do, i buy fish.

I've had a fish tank, most of the time, since I was a child. True, there were some periods following cross country moves that I didn't have them, but the hobby always seemed to call me back. Now that I am retired it has become a big part of my life. Between just maintaining them from day to day, breeding them, searching for more of the corydoras species that I specialize in, and helping on the forum, it keeps me very busy indeed. :D

i was just curious if anyone out there had finally created a eutopia, a Nirvana for fish, a tank that has been stable and disease less, deathless for some time, a tank that with a few water changes and regular observation has lasted a long time with the same community of fish. A fish heaven for "live" fish.

I can't say that I have because I am frequently switching fish around in their tanks, especially when a new species is added, but I think I have finally figured out how to keep C. pandas happy and healthy. These can be quite tricky and, since they are delicate and easily come down with bacterial infections, I think of it as something of an accomplishment. After a period of inactivity, my last theory about keeping them has turned out to be correct and they have started spawning again. With them, this is a sign that they are healthy and stress free.
