I had them, when I had tanks 25 years ago, and I added a group to a tank, that’s not very visible, about a year ago, ( that houses my Bichir ), and they are thriving there, but the Bichir started out growing them… and I’ve moved a couple specimens to a couple community tanks, that are my most viewed… I have a tiger in one tank, and a spotted, in another, besides them both bonding with solitary angels, they are a large peaceful, and interesting fish to watch… one is in with Cichlids, and the other with Tetras, and they get along with both… I had never had mature dollars, other than the plain silver ones, and these two seem to be getting even more interesting to me, as they mature… anyone else keep bigger dollars in a community tank???

I keep a group of Metynnis tiger dollars with black neon tetras and cories. In another thank, a mixed group (3 spp. of Metynnis) with cories and black phantom tetras. No problems in either tank and they are thriving.

They are so slick, they can live with piranhas without loosing their tails.

For years.

No... it was not in my house
