I have been pondering some type of schooling fish for my Kyoga Flameback tank. Just wondering what is a minimum tank size for silver dollars? I thought on these guys as I feed the flamebacks mostly a veggie diet so I figured it would work with the silver dollars as well. But not sure what a good tank size would be for the silver dollars. Thanks for the help.

I would say a minimum tank size for silver dollars would need to be around the 4foot range, as these fish grow quite big, fast. And they like plenty of room as they are fast swimmers.

I kept a shoal of 5 of them in a 200ltr corner tank for awhile, but they quickly out grew they thank. Miss them, there great fish to watch.... Just don't have any plants in your tank

you should have at least 6 of them, absolute minimum i would say 100 gallon tank

Depends on the species. Some stay under 4" and 6 would be fine in a 4' 55gal. Others get over a foot and would need a 10' tank to be comfortable.
