Silly Lfs...

So I went to my LFS which stocks tropica with the intention of asking them to get in some plants since they've been so helpful with my hunt for dwarf corys. Talked to the manager for a half hour or so before hand, maybe I annoyed him or something. (The corys were meant to be hastatus but were actually pygmaeus).

Anyway..
I asked ... "You guys order direct from Tropica ?"
He says ... "Yes..."
I asked ... "Could you order some specific plants in that I am after for my tank ?"
He says ... "We can only get the stuff on our list."
I asked ... "So you don't have access to their full catalog ?"
He says ... "Can't you order direct from them ?"
I say .... "No, they don't sell direct as far as I know"
He says ... "Then no. Maybe if it was a £500 tank... but not for a few plants."

Translation... Go away.

Blah... Guess Aquaessentials will be getting my money then

Oh well its their loss at the end of the day, maybe when you are looking for a 500 quid tank you will take your business elsewhere!

Shame.

I'm a great believer in looking after the "little man". You never know who they are, a mistake a few plant outlets have made with me before now. Needless to say I no longer use them, nor recommend them.

You won't be disappointed with Aqua Essentials.

I'm already impressed with AE's response to emails, and I haven't even spent any money there yet ! None of the other shops around here do Tropica and I've heard so many good things about AE, just need to get my order organised and confirm they have it all in stock

Still don't see how it would have been so hard for my lfs to add a few extra numbers to their next order but as you guys said it's their loss.

*edit* You'd think the fact I've spent about £1000 with them in the last 6 months might go in my favour .... Ok... gonna stop ranting now.
