Silly Fishies

Apparently I taste good . Scared me half to death the first time, cuz I was feeding my eels by hand and not really looking at the tank. Now they all think its a good idea. They hang on until I take my hand out of the water, it sometimes gets annoying if I'm working on the plants, since they are kinda tickley. If I move my hand really fast in the water they just hang on, or reattach themselves as soon as I stop .

My old Garra sp. never did that to me, lol. I would have been weirded out if it had.

Thats cool.
One of the species Garra rufa is also known as doctor fish in Turkey.
People with skin disorder often lay in a pool filled with them and they eat the dead skin.

Yeah I've read a little on garra rufa when I was reseaching these guys, but I wasn't expecting such similar behavior. I mean I have like 30 second to do stuff before they start attaching to me. It feels so weird! One is Ok, but if all 4 are sucking on my arm it starts to weird me out. If I pull my arm out too fast they come out with it. It takes them like 5 seconds to relise this. Then they let go and plop back into the water. If I put my hand back in right away they all reattach themselves like nothing happened.
