Went to buy some plastic plants for our brackish tank today (from a garden centre) and realised they also sold fake silk plants in the 'hobby' section. My question would be, are these ok to use in a brackish tank? I'm a bit worried that maybe they've used dyes or something that will react with the brackish water. Does anyone use silk plants that haven't been bought in a fish shop in their brackish tanks?

--Edit--
After reading up some more it seems that silk plants from craft stores can be used, but only if they have no metal in them. These do. So my new question is, am I ok to use hot glue to glue the leaves to a rock? I know hot glue can be used in freshwater tanks, but not sure about brackish.

I recommend SeaGarden brand silk plants. I use them in all of my brackish tank and they look and move pretty realistically. They can be purchased for a reasonable price on a lot of internet distributors.
