I will not even speculate as to why this tank just decided to crack overnight after standing outside for almost 2 years..... Nice 45 degree crack spontaneously happening....

I had some convict fry in there and when I got to it in the morning.... there was just an inch of water left in the tank.... I could save all of them.

I merely emptied the tank and smered some silicone sealer over the crack and six hours later I refilled the tank .... 5 weeks since.... and the tank is still going strong... I am currently using it for rearing my apple snails...

I have another one of these... exactly the same crack and also the same sollution..... (that one is going on 3 years atm)....

How much trust do you have in sillicon sealer.... I think it is the best thing out since canned spinach!....

Silicone is pretty tough stuff, plus it's flexible. If they use it to seal the edges, id trust it pretty well (but i'd still keep a close eye on it)
