sick siamese fighter

I have a male siamese fight, his fins have gone all tatty and ripped, hes
seperate from the other fish in the tank hes in a betta container he also
has some white stuff on him

could this be white spot???

I have an other fighter in the other side of the betta container and he's
fine, there is apair of sword tails, neon tetras, guppies, and a pleco

Please Help

Ive heard they can rip their fins on the rocks and stuff in the tank. That could be the reason for this. The white stuff tho, is it spots or like patches? Spots are almost definately ick, the patches are something else tho, forget what... A lot of people on here advice bettamax for damaged fins. For the white stuff, you may want to try some other kind of medication. Your LFS should be able to advice you on what it may be and the best treatment for it. Maybe treat him in a "hospital tank" so he doesnt spread whatever he has to the other fish. Sorry Im not more help. Hope he gets better soon. Good luck!
