Thats flipping ridiculus it looked kinda neat but no not a fish... If the fish jumoed out and went to the parlor to get the piercing itself then it would be freaking awesome but not this.

Personally I don't see anythign wrong with it. As long as the fish was tranquilized though. I look at it this way, humans sometiems don't have a choice i nthe matter, babies are a good example of this. Those that have peircings... how many of you got peircings as an infant? Think about that. Also, many cultures do it as a "right", they don't have much choice outside of being i nthe tribe and survivng vs being cast out and starving.
As for pidgeons and even cattle... they don't have a choice, but why does man do it? For identification purposes! Do you honestly think the cow wants an earring that says a random number on it to be with them forever? I doubt it. So before we say that the person that peirced the oscars should be burned at the stake, we should look at the practices that man does as a whole. We are all being hypocritical about this.
As for fishing. I love to fish, I use those "barbaric" hooks and i catch and release. Its for sport. The thrill of it all. Persoanlly I've never caught anyhting large, but I've cauht a few things of decent size. But those fish, they have a permanant scar with them. That's why I practice a less severe method of hooking, and let the fish fight and tire itself instead of forceing and ripping further. Also, if the hook is too "hooked" I jsut simply cut it off, and I use quick rot (or whatever you want to call them) so that they erode quicker in the water and fall out as harmless as possible. I sometiems keep the fish don't get me wrong, as long as they are large enough (and in season of course). Does this make me a horrible person? No.
Onto docking tails and ears, I beleive in it if it is for the well-being of the dog/cat/whatever it is, but not for man's pleasure. But we don't crusify peopel at dog shows who show their cropped dogs, why this guy? It's a personal choice thing and we do it with everything. To me it's hypocritical and we should think outside of the extremest box. I personally think it's stupid and pointless, but I'm not going to condem the guy because it was his choice.

People come in all different "varieties", every single one of them beautiful, I dont think there's any need to bash those that might be a little different.
