Sick Bloated Pleco

My pleco has a really swollen abdomen, his eyes are protruding from his head and his skin is split open just above his eye. He seemed fine yesterday but I must admit I didn't look closely at him. I saw him today and he looked dead, i went to scoop him out only to find he moved after i netted him. Normally i can't get a net near him so he must be very sick.

Anyway I don't test my water quality anymore as I have had the same tank for 2 years, change 30-50% weekly and haven't added fish.

Temp is 25-27 degrees.

Last water change was 30% yesterday.

No new fish, plants etc. added.

I have just treated with myxazin as i had some and it treats bacterial infections.

Anyone know what this could be and how to treat??

Its sounds bacterial with the eyes bulging out which is popeye.
Dropsy and popeye are closely related because of the build up of fluids.
Has the myxazin worked.
When fish are bloated epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out.
Anti internal bacteria med by interpet for popeye.
I would get your water tested at the lfs.
