Not sure if it's an emergency, sorry if it isn't, but my siamese fighter is acting really weird. He can't seem to sink at all. He swims down a little (and that takes a lot of effort) and then just bobs back up like a cork. He has a mild case of ich at the moment and I wondered if that was something to do with it.
All levels are good, had them tested yesterday (had them done at the lfs and don't know the exact values, sorry). 2 clown loaches were introduced to the tank on Saturday (I think they brought in the ich - grrrrr!)
If someone could tell me whats going on, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks.

what does he look like?
is he upside down/sideways at the top
if he is having trouble staying uprisght as if his little tummy is filled with helium than i would suggest its swim bladder!

here's a site that may help you!
(i stold it from someone on this site :shifty: )

oh and ich was most likely caused by the stress of adding new fish not necessarily the fish themselves :)
good luck
peace be with you

He isn't bloated at all. He isn't really on his side or back much either. He's in the corner now among the plant. Not looking too good.

My betta did this too. Sadly he did not make it. I was told that it may have been caused by too much dry food?? And to feed live frozen food in small amounts for a few days.
