Shy Covicts

I bought two female Convicts on the weekend around 1 inch long and added them into my tank. The problem is I never see them, they are real shy and just hide. When I feed them they come out quickly grab some food and then go into hidng again but this is only when I hide and dont move. As soon as I move they hide. Is this normal? Are they just stressed from the moving them?

I tested my water

Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 5.0ppm
PH - 7.4 to 7.6

Normal for convicts in my experience.What are their tankmates if any?

They are in with 2 silver sharks and a few tetras

They seemed to be a little more active at the shop, but they didnt realy have anyhting to hide behind

i'm getting a breeding pair of convicts on wednesday, cant wait, i got told that they could be like that for about a month before they find there teritory within the tank.

I'm so excited to get them, it was supposed to be today but the lady who put them off sale for me wasnt in so bummer!!
