Shrimp Ate One Of My Fish !

last night i noticed one of my fish was not moving much it was allmost as if it was resting on the bottom of the tank and this morning i find its dead coarpse being eaten by my shrmp is this dead fish the start of an epidemic ?

it's more likely the fish was sick, died, and the shrimp moved in for a late night snack!
what kind of shrimp are they?
and i'd watch your other fish for similar symptoms, lethargy etc. did the dying fish have any external symptoms? don't want any nasties running rampant through your tank!

i assumed the fish was sick but i didnt see any problems with the way he looked as for what shrimp they are i aint gotta clue sorry

if the fish was sick with no obvious external symptoms other than lethergy it could have been simple stress, or an internal infection. how long had you had it? what was it?
keep an eye on your other fish, and if any others look like they might be going the same way you might want to invest in some anti-internal bacteria medication. but hopefully he was just a one off!

heres a pic of the shrimps i have and of the fish it was a female that died the fish that died is one of the last lot i bought had it a couple of weeks i bought three females and one male

Those are your standard Ghost shrimp which are harmless to pretty much everything.

Mabey you're fish was sick and it died and then the shrimp ate it.
